Spring Triathlon

Participate, Fundraise, Volunteer or Cheer

TriStars Training is pleased to present our sixth annual Spring Triathlon, which will take place at Saanich Commonwealth Place in Victoria, BC on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

The Spring Triathlon is a fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society and we are proud to say that since 2013 we have raised more than $80,000! With your help, we hope to add substantially to this by reaching our 2018 fundraising goal of $15,000.

This non-timed, non-competitive event consists of a 500 metre pool swim, a 17.5 km bike ride, and 4 km run. Our triathlon is perfect for all athletes, whether is it your first event, a warm-up event, or a "just-for- fun" event.

We sincerely hope you'll join us on May 6, 2018, as an athlete, fundraiser, or volunter.

Fundraising

Canada has the highest rate of MS in the world, with approximately 1 in 340 Canadians living with the disease. MS is classified as an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and its symptoms can include extreme fatigue, lack of coordination, weakness, impaired vision, and cognitive impairment. The effects can be more than just physical; they can affect the emotional and financial wellness of those who suffer.  There is currently no cure and research continues.
